Holy Baptism

Divine voice: Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Human voice: Here am I; send me! (Isaiah 6:8)

Baptism is seen by Christian churches everywhere as the ceremony of belonging. When you come to it as an adult, it is a transforming moment, involving both conversion and commitment. In Baptism, you join the family of Christians, and you are commissioned as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Baptism should not be entered into lightly. It can launch you on a road which is difficult, but you will also know profound joy and peace.

While the Anglican Church affirms that Baptism is intended for adults, we gladly baptize the children of active members of the congregation.

The rite of baptism takes place at the main Sunday service.

Following the service on the day of your baptism, there is a luncheon and celebration in St. George’s parish hall.
